Magnolia
Inspiration: I grew up in suburbia in a house that sat in the middle of circle in the middle of a hill. The top of our hill had a big rock. The bottom of the hill was a beautiful old home with a spectacular magnolia tree. My mother coveted that tree. Even though she lived in a remarkable home herself, with tulip, flowering cherry, pine, blue spruce, fig, and other assorted trees, she coveted THAT magnolia tree. I never understood why. In building this project I wanted to include magnolia wood to remind myself to revel in the plenty of life and that there is no need (or room) for envy.
